Cocker Spaniel Pups

Cocker Spaniel pups are lovers of humans. They would spend all day everyday sitting on your lap, or curled up beside you. The best thing that you can do for your pup is to spend as much time as you can with them the first few months after you bring them home.

Cocker Spaniel Pups

If you ignore your Cocker Spaniel pup or place them in the crate for a long period of time, they will never form the bond with you that they need to.
It is also important that you give your pup every chance possible to exercise. This breed has a lot of energy. The puppy will be easier for you to train if you give them an outlet to relieve some of this energy. Play with your puppy you will be giving them the exercise that they need, but you will be getting the benefits right along with them. The Cocker Spaniel pup is very intelligent, instead of just walk after walk as a form of exercise, teach them to play fetch or chase a stick. This will keep them interested.
Remember that all puppies like to chew. If you are hoping to break them of this habit all together, you will never achieve it. Chewing is second nature to them. One of the main reasons that they chew is because they are teething. Instead of stressing out yourself and your puppy, give them something to chew on. Puppies love toys they are a lot better than chewing on your favorite shoes.
